Canterbury Park Rodeo Delivers Three Days of PRCA Action in Shakopee
The sound of pounding hooves, roaring crowds, and eight-second rides filled Canterbury Park as the annual Canterbury Park Rodeo returned for three days of Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) competition from July 17 through 19. Produced by Extreme Events MN, the weekend brought some of the sport's top competitors to Shakopee for a full slate of rodeo action and western entertainment.
Fans packed the grandstand throughout the weekend to watch bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, and women's barrel racing. Every event demanded a unique combination of athleticism, precision, and grit as competitors battled both the clock and livestock in hopes of posting winning performances.
The gallery above highlights some of the weekend's biggest moments, from explosive rides to lightning-fast barrel runs. Whether you're reliving the action or seeing it for the first time, these images showcase why the Canterbury Park Rodeo has become one of Minnesota's premier summer rodeo events.
