MN United 2-0 Portland Timbers
Minnesota United earned a 2–0 win over the Portland Timbers at Allianz Field Saturday night, securing their third straight league victory and continuing a strong run of form at home. The match began with chances on both sides, but Minnesota settled in quickly, controlling play with organized defending and efficient attacking.
The breakthrough came in the first half when Tomás Chancalay scored his first goal for the club, finishing from the top of the box to give the Loons a 1–0 lead heading into halftime. After the break, Minnesota maintained control and doubled its advantage in the 60th minute, as Chancalay set up Kelvin Yeboah for a close-range finish following a well-worked attacking sequence.
Minnesota managed the remainder of the match by staying compact defensively while still creating counterattacking opportunities. The result extended the team’s unbeaten streak and kept them perfect defensively at home this season, as they have yet to concede a goal at Allianz Field.
